Update

Well I have been keeping a close eye on all the news stations and newspapers as well. The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board)has been investigating this crash from the start. My mom said they came and briefed the office on their initial preliminary findings. She said that they probably won't have conclusive facts for about eight months or so. This has been a horrible tragedy, but one that has brought the whole community together. My mom said that the NTSB said they were so impressed by the whole community's outpouring of love and support to the families. It is so nice to hear that everyone is doing their part to make the lives of the families who lost loved ones a little easier during this hard time. I have been keeping a close eye on the blogs as well. What a wonderful blessing this gospel is. The faith that sustains families during hard times is wonderful. I have read about the increase in faith and understanding and it has strengthened my testimony as well. Most of the funerals are this week, so it will be a busy one for my mom as well. She says she is doing fine, just trying to help Dr. Colbert (the last provider in the office) get everything organized and put together so they can continue to see patients. My mom is such a strength to me and I admire her faith and endurance through all of this. Well if you have more questions you can probably call my mom and ask. Love you and hope all is well with you.

Prayers

So this morning I got a phone call from my mom and she said that the plane that takes her office to Moab crashed and killed all on board. It was Dr. Ellsworth, Dallin (his son), Dave Goddard, Cecilee Goddard(Dave's daughter), Val Imlay, Keith, Marcy Tillery, the pilot Dave White, Mandy (front office), and Cami (back office). Please remember my mom in your prayers and the the families that lost people in the plane crash. My mom is going to keep us updated, so I will post new information as I get it or you can check any of the Utah news stations websites. It is such a tragedy and shock to all of us, since we grew up in that office and went to school and worked with all of those people. It makes me so grateful to know that the church is true and that I can be with my family for all eternity and that these families can be together again. The Atonement is such a wonderful gift that our Savior gave to us, and I hope that I can live worthy of it's blessings. Please pray for all of these people. It will be a trying time for not only the families, but the whole office and the community. I love you all and am so thankful that you are my family. God bless.

Temple Update

Hello Family,

Trevor and I are planning on doing our sealing on Saturday, September 20th at 12:00 pm in the Timpanogos Temple. We chose that temple because it is halfway for both families. After the temple we will all be going to Tucanos for lunch. The lunch will cost you about $11.00 per person, but it is definitely worth it. It includes a drink, many trips to the huge salad, pasta, and just about everything bar, and also includes many fine cuts of meat and very good pineapple. You will be stuffed. Anyways, we would like to get a count for the temple and for lunch. If you can't attend the temple, we would still like to have you all at the lunch. Please let me know if you will be coming. We love you and hope all is well. :)

Love,
Erin

Today I got a phone call from World Traveler, Tyler. He is supposed to be coming home from Brussels on Thursday, but there is a strike in the airport there, so he might be stuck there for awhile. Today he is in Milan, Italy. Somebody (the airline?) put him up in a hotel for the night and will feed him breakfast in the morning. Then, he flies to Amsterdam and will have to buy a train ticket to Brussels. Once he gets there, he will have to see if he can figure out how to get home.
He had plans to play in Oak City Days three on three basketball tourney this Saturday. Hmmmm. . . he might still be in Belgium. Remember him in your prayers, since he is pretty close to being completely out of money.

F. Blaine & Eva Rasmussen Reunion

Saturday August 2nd the F. Blaine & Eva Rasmussen Reunion was held at Battlecreek park in Pleasant Grove. It was very hot but we had a great time. Grandpa, Kathleen, DeAnn, Holly, Cambree, Gabe, Debbie and Mike were the ones from our family that attended. Here are a couple of pictures of Cambree playing some of the games they had for the children.

Fishing

So, I just thought I would update everyone on the progress of baby things. I am currently 14 (almost 15) weeks pregnant. Yay, second trimester! At my appointment last month I was able to see the baby wiggle. I am still feeling pretty sick (I really hope it will let up soon), but my energy level has definitely improved. Next month, we will hopefully be able to find out if the baby is a boy or a girl. Yay!

Well anyways, I am including a picture from a little fishing trip that Trevor and I went on. I caught this tiny fish and Trevor thought it would be fun to take a picture of me. Well, needless to say, the stupid thing would not stop flipping around. Every time it would flip around, I would squeal and drop the fish. This picture was taken very quickly. As you can see by my face, I was very frightened. Ewwww! (I refuse to bait my hook, touch the fish, and clean the fish. Its a good thing my husband will do it.)
