Famous Lady!

A few weeks ago a Photographer from the Salt Lake Tribune was shooting pictures at Emigration Market. Annie was there, clearly purchasing citrus products! He asked if he could take her picture for an article. It was printed in the Money section I believe, something about the cost of food products going up. Anyway, just another famous Rasmussen! We're all just so popular!

Here are some of the pictures that I took of Gabe. I did my best with the free photoshop program online so some of the colors are not exactly where I would like them to be. Anyway, here they are.

Road Trip

Scott, Henry and I just got home from our first family vacation and I thought I would post a few pictures. We drove to Washington D.C. to take a car to Scotts sister and then flew home. On the way, we visited friends in Chicago as well as Baltimore. We were gone for ten days and had a really amazing time. Henry was such a good baby and I only wish he would remember the trip when he is older! I guess he will just have to look at the pictures and know that he was there!!

IT'S A BOY!

Yesterday, Trevor and I found out for sure that we are having a boy. The lady showed us his boy parts and said that it was definitely a boy. Yay! Start buying presents. :) On Saturday I will be at 24 weeks. I'm so glad to have that morning sickness out of the way. Now I just can't stop eating! I hope everyone is doing great. We love you. PS. The picture is of our baby's face and hand. No, he doesn't have an empty hole in his head. That's his brain. He must get the brain from Trevor.

Yearbook Yourself

This is a picture of Trevor. It was also made with yearbookyourself.com. It would be around the year 1990. Although, I think I actually went to high school with a few guys that still had hair like this. I guess that' s Delta for ya!

Yearbook Yourself

I went to this website www.yearbookyourself.com and put my picture on there. This is me in 1960. I wasn't really alive but who cares, I look dead sexy.

Four Week "birthday"

Hi Everyone!

For Henry's "Birthday" today, he had a very special guest! Grandpa is up in Salt Lake while Kathleen is on her Sisters Retreat, so he stopped by the house to meet Henry. I think they really liked each other and Henry loves the trucks that Grandpa gave him! (And I love the tomatoes from his garden!) I am not sure how much he is weighing these days, but I would venture a guess that he is about triple the size of Brighton! He just keeps growing and growing! Love you all!

Portfoli-Oh!

Hi Family. Just wanted to direct your attention to the fact that I've become famous on my friend Heather's website. She's a photographer, just starting out, but incredibly talented with awesome equipment. She's helping me with some headshots that my Film Agent has requested, yes for those of you who didn't know, I have signed with an LA Film Agent... we'll see. So yesterday at the crack of dawn, Heather and I headed out to find 'really good light' and take some shots. Let's just say that I'm going to have a difficult time choosing between the 300 photos we've ended up with. Heather got really ambitious today and photoshopped a few of her favorites. Here's one of the shots that she worked on. If you'd like to see a couple more, you can check out her website where they've been posted. For some reason the three that she's posted on her sight, all have me in hats, but I assure you, we took plenty of ones with my beautiful, perfectly shaped hairless melon. I hope that you enjoy them and get really excited and start telling all your friends about your famous Hollywood Film Actor relation.

2 shots on her website under 'encounters' www.heathernanphotography.com
2 of the same shots on her blog, plus 1 extra -- you can link to the blog from her sight. Awesome!

Also, HUGE--HUGE--HUGE Shout Out to --- our cousin Sarah! When I was in Delta we went out and played around with her camera. She took some AWESOME! pictures of me that my friend Heather will be photoshopping and helping me prepare to use as some of my headshots! I'll post some of the shots that Sarah took, as soon as I can make my computer not be difficult! Love you Sarah -- keep working hard, you are so talented with that camera of yours! What a gift! Love you!

Erin and Trevor were sealed in the Mt Timpanogas temple yesterday, September 20, 2008. It was a great day. Here are some pictures I took outside the temple. They aren't professional, but it's the best I could do.

Congratulations Trevor and Erin.

The Twins

Well as you all know we had the twins on Sept. 13th. I posted some pictures on our blog and updates if you want to go to it and see the cute little buggers. Love you all!

REMINDER!

Hey everyone, this is just a reminder! Trevor and I are getting sealed in the TIMPANOGOS Temple (in American Fork) this Saturday. That is Saturday, September 20th. The sealing is at 12:oo (noon). They request that you be there at least 30 minutes before. So be there at 11:30. At 2:00 we will be eating at the Brazilian restaurant Tucanos (mmmmm soooo goood) which is located at the bottom of Center Street in Orem (The Shops at Riverwood). I checked the price. It will be $12.95 a person ($5.95 for ages 7-12, free for children 6 and under). You will have to pay for yourself because Trevor and I are poor college students. If you can't go to the temple, we would still like to have you come to the lunch. If you haven't already, please let me know if you are coming to the lunch or the temple. We love you all and hope to see you this weekend.

Babies and Ike

Holly had the twins this morning at a little after midnight. (Granny didn't know the exact time). Lincoln was born first weighing in at 5 pounds and he is 17 1/2 inches long. Brighton followed 2 minutes behind weighing in at a heafty 4 pounds 1 ounce. He is 17 inches long. Both babies had to stay in the NICU for the night. As far as I know, this morning mommy and babies are doing great!!! The doctor was impressed with how good the babies look. We are so excited to finally have some boys!!! We will post pictures later. Everything went really well. Congratulations Cody, Holly and Cambree.
I have been in contact with Laurel this morning. Ben, Allison, Laurel and the kids are all doing well. They are just having some wind and bad weather right now, but they are all okay! It's such a relief.
What an eventful night!!!

STORMS A BREWIN'!

I just got off the phone with Ben. I was reading on the internet last night that they are evacuating a million people from Houston. Hurricane Ike is "barring down" (ask Faeth what that means...hee-hee) anyway, I had called to check on his and Allison's status. It sounds like they are fine. Ben says the line at Home Depot was ridiculously long and that they had completely run out of plywood for covering windows. He was saying that the only houses on his block that had covered their windows, are the ones that are for sale, so he opted out of doing it. Their Bishop called to check in on them, what with them being "Hurricane Virgins" and what not. They also have received calls from other members of their ward checking in. Their have been offers of places to go from neighbors with generators for when the power goes out. Ben says that the Hurricane should hit around 2am this morning, they're expecting 65mph winds. Nick has to work all through the night so Laurel and Sydney will be going to Ben and Allison's to "weather the storm" (I love these little puns)! Keep all of our Houston family in your prayers tonight. I know that they will be fine and just turn this into an adventure!

Me and "Grambo" (Sarah's creation) getting ready to blast some stuff. And one more picture of the water at the beach in Siracusa, Sicily.

Italy

Well I made it back from Italy. I decided I would add a couple pics of the nice parts and a couple of the less glamorous parts. That sausage was not great but I got it for free from some guys at the airport. When you are nearly out of money that sausage starts looking really good. The other picture is me on the floor of the airport where we spent a night before flying to Rome. I got a good hour that night. We got really lucky and had a free place to stay in Siracusa, Sicily with a friend of a friend of a friend. However, he had to leave for work and told us we had to leave to. I had under fifty dollars in my bank account and had to find a place to stay for four more nights before heading to Milan (I already had my ticket) and then fly home. We were planning on camping on the beach for a few days but then my friend Vittoria emailed me and said she had a friend in Catania, Sicily who said we could come stay. It was only about an hour away and was on the route back to the mainland. The girl had a big house with a private guest room that could only be accessed from the garden. From then on things were really really good. Our days went like this, get up at noon, her mom makes us really good Sicilian food, we then go with the girl, Donata and a bunch of her friends to the beach, we then swim and play volleyball all day until about nine, then we go back, eat pizza, and go dancing until about four or five in the morning, following that we get some croissants for breakfast and then go home and go to sleep as the sun's coming up, then we get up at around noon and do it again. Lot of fun.
I had a another scare when I got to Milan. After 17 hours on trains I get to the airport to find out that my flight has been cancelled to Brussels. Problem. I need to catch my flight to the US from Brussels. I freak out for a while and then they inform me that they are putting me up in a hotel and flying me to Amsterdam the next day. Before this happened I was extremely worried seeing as it was a budget airline and sometimes they just don't care. I had only a few euro and no way to get another ticket. Flying me to Amsterdam was still a problem because I did not have enough money for a train ticket to Brussels. Fortunately I was woken in the pretty nice hotel to a phone call from Vittoria telling me that her and her friend were driving to Amsterdam to pick me up.
So in the end I made it back to Utah and everything is going pretty good.

Joshua begins MBA Program at UC Davis

Joshua visited us this week on his way to beginning the MBA program at UC Davis.

For 13 consecutive years, the UC Davis Graduate School of Management has been ranked among the top 50 business schools in the nation by U.S.News & World Report.

The magazine's latest survey, released March 28, 2008, places the UC Davis MBA program 20th among business schools at public universities and 44th overall.

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management has been ranked in the top 50 every year since 1996, and continues to be the youngest business school within a public institution ever ranked by the magazine. With 120 full-time MBA students, UC Davis is the smallest business school ranked in the top 50.The UC Davis MBA program also remains one of the country's most selective. About 26 percent of applicants to the Daytime MBA program are accepted, the 13th lowest acceptance rate in the nation. UC Davis MBA students enter with an average GMAT score ranked among the top 25 schools.

Congratulations Joshua!!!

While Josh was here we were able to spend a beautiful day of sailing on San Francisco Bay with him and his friends, and former employer, Greg and Shannon Bergmann.
