I'm a sad little zombie...

So family. The results are in and my Coke commercial 28 Ounces Later did NOT win the competition. Boo-Hoo! The winner was Message in a Bottle (for those of you that watched all of them). I'm a little sad, but you know what, it was a great experience and now I have some awesome footage of me acting! Thanks for all your love and support of the commercial! I meet with a Film Agent next week and would really love and appreciate all the prayers that could be offered in my behalf. This actor's life is tough sometimes and I would love to catch a bit of a break! I appreciate how supportive you all are. How much love and care you show me. Thanks for being my fans and for getting excited when I get to do stuff. Thanks for always coming to my shows and cheering me on. Whenever I think about success and the potential of my acting career, my family is always the first thing I think about. The opportunities for all of us that can be created would be awesome. Those are always my first thoughts... I know that times are tough right now and that we're all in need... but just knowing that my family is out there to love me and buoy me up is so important. I'm so happy that I've been able to develop relationships with my cousins, now, as adults. Getting to see Tyler this last week was so refreshing. Thanks for always finding joy in my little successes. I love you, I miss you -- you're in my thoughts and prayers. I wish only love, joy, health and happiness for you all. Much love... and peace.

Your nephew, grandson, cousin, brother, uncle, son -- Gabe

Birthday/Anniversary Update

Hey family. I was hoping to update the family birthday list. I also want to include anniversaries and current addresses. I know that it's already the end of February, but Aunt DeAnn was the only one who got me the information before the first of the year. I think that maybe with the holiday season it all got lost in the shuffle. I have De Aunt Ann and all her kids information... but I need everyone else's updates. Birthday's / Anniversary's and Addresses... Just email me: gabeski@yahoo.com -- Love you all!

p.s. remember to get your recipes in to De Aunt Ann for the family cookbook! I challenge everyone in the family to have at least two favorite recipes in the book. It would be great to have everyone represented. Tyler, put your killer soup recipe in there...

Family Visit

Great Weekend!! Last weekend Dale and I had some great company! Sarah and Noah had flown to Houston and spent two days there with the Staples family. Then, Nick and Laurel and family brought them up to Denton to visit. We had a great time. We went to the rodeo at the Ft Worth Stockyards. Visited on Sunday. Dale made his famous chili and we had valentine heart cookies for desert. Dale's daughter, Heather and husband Michael and family came over on Sunday, too.
On Monday, Dale and I took Noah to the zoo. We weren't prepared for the whirlwind tour of the zoo that Noah took us on. He started out at the front gate and we were on a dead run all the way through the zoo. Not sure if Noah saw any animals or not. Grandparents got our exercise that day. I told Noah he needed to slow down because he was wearing us out. He said it's because we are kind of old. So, yeah, that was awesome! Noah got a cowboy hat and a gun at the stockyards so he could be a real Texas cowboy. I, of course, didn't get any pictures. Sarah did get some so I am hoping she will post a few on this blog or on her personal blog. Watch for updates. Thanks to Laurel, Nick, Sydney and Sawyer, Sarah and Noah for a wonderful time. Ya'all come back now!! Open invitation for any and all visitors to Texas to come stay with us.

I talked to my mom and she said it’s not too late for me to put up some of my travel pics from last September. I know most have seen the photos on Facebook but for those who haven’t, here are a few. My friend Brook Rogers and I took a jaunt around the Mediterranean. First we stopped in Mallorca, an island south of Barcelona, where my friend Vittoria lives. Her family was great and really took care of us. It didn’t hurt that Brook and I had basically our own apartment hooked onto their house. When I opened the doors each morning, the view of the pool and the hills was the first thing I saw. We spent every day swimming at different beaches and then going out at night with Vittoria and her friends.
After leaving Mallorca we flew to Barcelona and spent a night in the airport. The next morning we flew to Rome. A few days of sightseeing and we were on our way to Santorini, Greece. We flew in from Milan and had no accommodations lined up in Santorini. While leaving the small airport, a man approached us and told us he had a place for us to stay and that he would take us there in his van. Normally this is not a good idea. However, we had no idea how to get into town and nowhere to stay. So his van offer was quite appealing. We got in the van (don’t do this) and then he left (we assumed to place a call to prepare the C-4). He came back a few minutes later and took us to his place, which was a nice house, just a short walk from the beach (The picture of the beds is in our room). We got settled in and went down to the local scooter shop and rented us a couple of 50 cc beasts. The next few days were just about as good as it gets. Driving the scooters all over the island, going from beach to beach, and eating a lot of good food. The island was amazing and it was a great trip!

Happy Birthday to Aunt Maureen today.
She's always been our favorite little "Ground Hog"!!

Bonnie's Status

Hi. It's Gabe typing for Mom. I'm trying to teach her how to use the blog. (Laurel, I know you helped her once, but she was 'put-under' for the surgery and who knows what they did to her brain while she was there). Anyway, Mom's doing a lot better. She's recovering smoothly and the swelling on the right side of her face has gone down so much. When I first saw her after the operation the swelling really freaked me out. Her spirits seem to be good and upwards... the last few days she's been able to run a few errands with me, which has been nice. She does seem to tire out fairly quickly, but then just relaxes and does much better. Thank you so much for all your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. She's really felt everyones love and concern. It's been greatly appreciated. She sends her love to you all! And she'll post a hospital picture, later... then you'll feel really bad for her...

Hi Family

I talked to Bonnie on the phone tonight she sounded really good and said Bob and Gabe were taking really good care of her after her surgery. So thanks to them for taking such good care of our Seestor! I'm glad our prayers were answered and everything went well for her.
