Old Stove/New Stove

Recently a new stove moved into the house at 732 E Center Street. It was so exciting to bring in the pretty new addition, but at the same time (and I know this might seem a little odd to some) it was sad to take the old one out. As I thought about it, and wondered why I felt that way, I decided it was because it reminded me of Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and the many, many meals, bottled produce, and treats that were produced thereon. Food brings people together, doesn't it? I have included some pictures here for your viewing pleasure. The first one is the old stove saying "Good-bye". The second one is the new stove saying, "Hello", and the third one is Aunt Debbie cooking the first item on the new stove, which was a can of Progresso soup. Vegetable Beef with Barley, to be exact.

So, as I was deciding to post this, I thought it would be fun for those who wish to post their feelings about the old stove/new stove transition in the form of a poem, just a thought, or a story that it reminds you of. No pressure, no contest, just fun. This may or may not get any response, but it might be fun to see what you all have to say.

Happy Birthday Cambree, Lincoln and Brighton

On Sunday Holly hosted a birthday party for Cambree-4 Lincoln-2 and Brighton-2. It was a lot of fun and the back yardigans helped make it bright and cheerful.

RASMUSSEN EXTRAVAGANZA!!!

Hi family. I just want to put the word out that a bunch of Wischmeier's will be in SLC on September 20th. Ben will be there on business, Mom and Dad will be there on business... so I'm going to fly up and see them too. We'd like to plan a BIG, BIG family dinner for that evening. Monday, September 20th. I'm not sure where yet, but am open for any suggestions... even if it's just Cafe Rio Salads or something... I want to make sure that ALL who want to attend are invited. It would be AMAZING to see everyone!! Let me know what you think and who thinks they can attend!! Love you family!

Winslow Stanley Alder

Winslow and Henry- When I take pictures of Henry and then put away the camera, he cried and says "Mommy! More Cheese! More Cheese! " Maybe he will follow in Gabe's footsteps and find his way to Hollywood some day?!

Winslow at Three Weeks Old

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we are all doing well here at the Alder household. Winslow is a GREAT baby, outside of his having day and night mixed up. (He sleeps ALL day and likes to be up for a 5-6 hour stretch starting at midnight.) Let's just say, it's a good thing I don't mind taking naps. Though if anyone has any tips for getting this turned around, both Scott and I are open to suggestions.
I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be blessing Henry in October. I am not sure of the date yet, though, because Conference is during October, so I don't know if the baby blessings will be the week before or the week after conference. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up and I will let you know as soon as I have the exact date and time. I am pretty sure Sacrament is at 1:00 and we will have an Open House afterward. Any of the fine Priesthood holders in our family are warmly invited to join the circle, should they care to. Hope to see as many of you as possible!

We Will Be Here for Awhile

Dear Family,

We are wanting everyone to know that Dale and I will be living at 732 East Center St. in Orem (Grandpa's house) until next August. This will be our home and Hyrum will be living here too. We are so happy to be able to live here for this length of time. It's a real blessing because of the unforseen move here. If it hadn't been for this house, we would not have been able to do this. This will give us a chance to get our feet under us.

We want you to come visit us. Please respect the house as our home while we are living here and make arrangements for a visit like you would if we were living anywhere else. We hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone. Thank you for welcoming us back to Utah.
