God bless and peace be with you all.

Update

Hi Everyone! I figured I had better let the cat out of the bag before Aunt Debbie does! Scott and I are expecting another baby on or about August 9th. We are super excited to be adding to our family and can't wait to introduce a new Alder to everyone! I am only about 6 weeks along, so I probably should keep it to myself for a few more weeks, but I am terrible about keeping secrets! Love to you all! (picture of Henry is just so that you all can remember how cute he is.)

Zombies and Christmas and Coke, Oh My!
Hi family! I want you all to know about a few things that are going on with me. First of all, I'm getting my little photo/card business up and running. I had a big boutique show this week and am now trying to get my cards in the shops. If you have a great gift shop in your area, I would love to present them with my cards to carry. Check out my blog ghgrundy.blogspot.com it's all in the works. Also, I'm working Christmas and staying in LA for the Holidays, boo-hoo. No family Bunko for me. Lastly! I've booked a Coca-Cola commercial that will be shot next week. It will play in movie theatres before the previews. The commercial will take place in a movie theatre. I have the main 'Zombie' part, I get to crawl out of the movie screen with two other Zombie's, chase a kid around the theatre and try to steal his Coke. I have a line, as well. It's going to be lots of fun! I'm looking forward to the make-up and costuming! I'll post pictures. Love you all.

Sophie's Baby Blessing

I just wanted to let everyone know that we're blessing Sophie a week from today, on September 6th in our ward in Montana. Everyone is welcome to come. She's such a sweet-tempered little baby--she never cries just to cry. We think she's going to have brown eyes, because they're so dark. It's so cute when she stares at you w/ her big, dark eyes. Eva calls her OHS-eeee. It's super cute.
September is a BIG birthday month
September holds the record for having the most birthdays in our family. Wishing Henry, Sarah, McConnell, Brighton, Lincoln, Linden, Cambree, Jessicca and Emily all a very happy birthday.

Aunt Maureen is the Best!
Okay everybody. I just want to take a moment and thank Aunt Maureen for her generous donation towards the Africa package. We're going to be able to get some really great things for the kids. Thanks Mo-Mo! If anyone else is interested in contributing it would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to get the package off within the next few weeks. 5 dollars, 1 dollar... just a nice note and a picture of yourself. Actually, that would be really great anyway. Pictures of the grandkids and maybe some drawings. Madison, Abby, Creed, Sydney, Cambree, Noah.... help me out here! Let's make this happen. De Aunt Ann, have we heard anything about getting some toys sent from the Happy Factory? Love to everybody. Email me and I'll forward you my current address. Thanks so much!

Bless Fest
So this is just a reminder that on September 13 Toko baby and Sawyer will be getting blessed in Cedar City at 9:00 am at my mom's church. We would love for everyone to be there. We will be having food after. If you want to bring something, bring a side dish of sorts, or a dessert. We would like an estimate as to who will be attending so we can prepare accordingly. Also the it's the twin boys birthday that day too. The day before is April's baby shower, so it's a good weekend to get togehter. So mark your calanders and try to make it. We would love to see everyone.

Speaking of baby Toko, his baby shower is on Sept 12th and He and Sawyer will be blessed on the 13th. All this will be happening in Cedar City. Invitations to the shower will be coming, but mark the date and plan to attend.

Email Police!
So I have a new job. It's patrolling your sent emails.... I forwarded a lot of you the email from Emily. She's so far away from home and doing a very admirable thing. This is HER own Mission. It would be really great if everyone could remember to email her, frequently. She has very limited internet access. I think it's very important that when she opens her inbox there are dozes of emails from her family back here in the states. So if you could and have the chance, please send her an encouraging note, an update on your own life or just a 'hello'. Also, we're going to look into getting a package sent to the children she's caring for. DeAnn, Sarah and I had been disgusing several things... Happy Factory toys and school supplies from Wal-Mart have all been suggested. Apparently they're having a huge sale on crayons, pencils, paper and such. I'm going to look into several shipping options and find out the best way to do this. Or if any of you know of organizations that are already set up that we can contact and ask for a donation to be given to her farm...? How does the churches humanitarian stuff work? Can we contact them to send things over there? Love you all. Hope we can do this..... Oh, and while I'm at it. Send Hyrum an email too.

Hyrum's New Address and Update
hey there everyone!
well i'm now in conway arkansas and it's a really awesome place! my companion is from american fork, his name is elder townsend. he's a good kid, with a big heart. i know i'm going to love it here. this ward is just awesome, and i've heard so much good stuff about it from so many missionaries and the mission president. conway is a college town... there are like three colleges here. plus the american idol winner, kris allen is from conway. pretty exciting. last night we taught a really good lesson to a nine year old girl named stormy! it was cool. she's getting baptized on the 15th of august. there is so much going on here, and i'm excited for what good stuff we have coming ahead of us. our zone is pretty big, (geographically) we have about seven companionships. elder hildt is in my zone, i trained him, and i talked to him last night. he's doing good. we stay with another companionship in our apartment, which is what i'm used to, cause we had the same thing in southaven. all in all, i'm pretty excited to be here. we have this really cool place to go running in the mornings, today we ran 2 1/2 miles. i was doing that this last transfer, but this place is a lot cooler that the road! it's a little paved trail in a cool park! good stuff.
here's my new address,

*Note from Gabe: I wanted to make sure that you all have Hyrum's email address -- spuddy_studdy@hotmail.com Can I challenge everyone to send Spud a note this week? He checks his email on Monday, so you have the whole weekend to do it. Even if it's just a 'hi. how are ya. i'm good.' that would be really cool and mean a lot to me (and him, I'm sure). Thanks.

Staples Baby will be coming round the mountain
I went to the doctor today and was going to beg to have the doctor induce me this Friday when my mom gets here so that she could see the birth. I didn't want to have to wait any longer. Well my blood pressure was a little elevated, and the doctor came in to check me. She said, "let's check and see what is going on." Last week she called me Fort Knox, so I said that it would probably be the same as last week. She started fishing around and it was hurting pretty badly, and she says, "I'm trying to make your cervix mad, you're at a 3." What a three I've never been a three until after my water gets broken. She said, "let me call the hospital and see what I can do." I was thinking this weekend for sure, but she popped her head back in the room and said, "tomorrow." So we got our induction paper work and a time to arrive at the hospital (5:30 am). So I call tomorrow at 4:30 and see if there is a bed available and check in at 5:30. My doctor said she is going to get my contractions started, and then break my water and then we'll get to it. I'm a little nervous, Sydney is a wreck, Nick is frazzled because he is supposed to have a check ride tonight. So we'd appreciate some prayers. Love you and will keep you posted.
Happy Birthday Cade, Haley...and Finn!!
We wanted to let everyone know that our little baby Finnegan Robert was born on June 29th at 4:41pm. Everything went very well for mom and baby. He's doing a great job of nursing and sleeping. He's a very happy, healthy 7lb 9oz 19 1/2 in little man.
Finn has dark hair, so we're excited to have a red-head, a blonde, and a brunette.

Seestors' Retreat

Last weekend was our Seestors' Retreat in St. George. We had such a fun, relaxing weekend. The highlight of the weekend was most definitely the pool party in my backyard. Most of you didn't know I had a pool in my backyard, but I did on Saturday. I'm wondering if the seestor that has pictures of the party will post those?? Not sure what they look like, so, maybe just email them to me, so I will have them. We drank smoothies in the pool under the shade of a palm tree. In the evening we had tiki torches and lanterns and Aunt Bonnie rigged up a "water feature" in the rocks. That evening was lovely until the famous St. George cockroaches came out and after Bonnie got tired of stomping on them and realized she couldn't keep up, we went inside. We went out to dinner in Sprindale and ate out on the veranda. The weather was perfect and we had a handsome European waiter named Ludo. On Sunday, all my seestors went to church with me. It was so fun to sit there with all of them. After church, we had the cousins that were in Cedar City join us for Fathers Day dinner, along with Grandpa and Kathleen. Stuffed ourselves again.
Aunt Bonnie made some cute aprons for each of us seestors. We all wore them on Sunday while making dinner. I have included a picture of us all in our aprons. Thank you so much, Bonnie.
Thank you all my seestors. I love you so much and am thankful Heavenly Father blessed me to be in your family.

Family Reunion 2009
Here is a slideshow of some of the pictures taken at the family reunion. Special thanks to Scott and his Family for letting us stay there! We had a good time and certainly missed those who were unable to attend! We played bunco, apples to apples and a fun dice game with prizes! We also measured everyone's ankles to see who truly had the most 'freakishly small' ankles. The crazy boys took a dip in the freezing water, even the dog was smart enough to only get a tad bit wet! We had so much fun and are looking forward to next year's reunion.

I would just like to say thanks to Scott and Faeth for hosting us at the reunion again this year. We are all so sorry to hear of the passing of Scott's granny and that you couldn't stay and enjoy the reunion. We all had a lot of fun. Thanks again

Directions
Hi Guys- Here are the directions if you are coming from the South. Wherever you are, drive towards Evanston, WY. Get off on the 2nd Evanston exit and go to your left. You will go through two or three lights and take a right over the bridge towards Highway 89. Follow Highway 89 through woodruff and randolph. You will get to a point where you either have to turn left or right. GO LEFT!!! (Right takes you to jackson hole. There will be no Rasmussen's in Jackson Hole) This is the Utah 30. You will go through the canyon and when you come out you will see the lake. Continue on the 30 for about 20 miles. Go through Lake Town and past Rendevous Beach. About 2 miles past Rendevous Beach you will come to a big curve in the road where you will see a campground and a building where they are renting boats and jet skis. Turn into the parking lot and follow the road down. If you look to your left, you should see the Bear Lake Monster in the form of a decrepit boat. The second and third trailers are will you will find your relatives. If you make it to the turn off for the golf course, you have gone about 1/2 mile too far.
If you are coming from Logan, I believe that you just come down Logan Canyon and go right out of Garden City. Pass all of the new houses that are on your left. You will see a barn and a hill. The campground is on the other side of the hill. Follow the above directions when you get to the campground.
My cell # is 801-792-2088. Gabe's cell # is 801-440-1621 and Aunt Ann's is 801-359-6403. One of us should have cell reception. Unfortunately, Scott's Granny died yesterday, so he is not going to be able to be at the reunion at all. Henry and I are going to have to leave after the race on Saturday morning so that we can be there for the funeral. Thanks everyone and call if you need additional directions. Love you all!!!!

Reunion Time
Hey Guys- Just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like the weather isn't going to be quite as fabulous as it was last year. The Ten Day Forcast on Weather.com says that the high next Saturday is going to be about 67. Hopefully as the week progresses, that will change, but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. We are excited to see everyone regardless of the weather! Everyone drive safe and we will see you next week.

It sounds like several people would like to do a bunko game at the reunion. It will be fun, so just get onboard, everyone. It will require each participant to bring an item to pass around as prizes. The items are to be UNDER $10.00. That doesn't mean they have to be $10.00. UNDER $10.00 We don't want the cost of the prizes to be a deal breaker for anyone. It's just for fun, folks. Comments, please.
Also, Grandpa is providing the paper plates and plastic silverware for all meals. We will need to bring cups for the meals we are in charge of.
If anyone has anymore comments or info to add, please do so.

Will there be room?
Holly is wondering if she and the kids will have a room at the reunion. That's all if someone will let me know.
James, Lyndsi, Eva, Unborn Baby Girl
The James Wischmeier Clan will not be attending the Reunion. It's just too close to Lyndsi's due date and they're worried about traveling. They'll be missed! Did everyone know that they're having a girl?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I signed up for the 10 K that happens at Bear Lake on the Saturday of the reunion. Gabe has promised me he will be joining me. Who else is in? Also, her are some pics of Hen, just so that you all recognize him when you get there. I have been a slacker Mom and have not posted pics in a while.

Uninsured Antiquated Aunt plays softball, doesn't require medical treatment!
Last night April asked me to play softball with their team that didn't have enough players. I told her I was old and hadn't played for a long time. I played anyway it was a lot of fun and I got to see quite a few family members because Erin and Trevors team was playing at the same ball park. Surprisingly I can actually walk this morning.
I'm glad to hear Cody and Hollys good news. Love, Maureen

Aunt Bonnie and I tok it upon ourselves to make some assignments for the fam reunion. We haven't called anyone, so if you have an objection to your assignment or wish to add or make any changes, please let me know. Also, let me know if you accept your assignment.
For Friday night, we thought since everyone will be arriving at different times, each fam can be in charge of feeding themselves that night. We would like to suggest, though, that if Aunt Maureen is coming, she could bring a snack for that night, such as crackers and cheese, or chips and dips and fruit and veggies or what ever she would choose.
We decided it was too hard to try to fit in three meals on Saturday last year, so we think a brunch and a dinner should suffice.
Brunch on Saturday would be assigned to DeAnn's fam.
Dinner on Saturday would be assigned to Bonnie's fam.
Brunch on Sunday would be assigned to Debbie and Grandpa's fam.
Each family would supply the paper products for the meal they are in charge of.
Also, everyone should bring a snack to share. This would be the younger members of the families, meaning the grandchildren of Grandpa Jim.
Since the Alders and the Rasmussens are providing the venue, they are off the hook for providing a meal.
We wondered if DeAnn and/or Sarah would consider being in charge of a craft perhaps using their stampin up stuff. Cards, or picture frames, or whatever else you might come up with. If you don't want to mess with it or if it stresses you out to think about it, please say, because we don't want to make you feel like you have to do it. Just an idea.
Will Grandpa Jim be in charge of Sunday morning meeting, like last year?
That's all for now. Please add any ideas you might have or if there is anything you're not happy with, please post it.
I'm looking forward to the reunion again this year and I hope everyone else is too.
Thank you Alders!!
ONE LAST THING: Please post how many you expect to have at the reunion so we will know what to plan for food. I know this will likely change and we can get a better count when we get closer.

Family Reunion
Hey Everyone. I noticed everyone was curious about the family reunion. I know that the Alders wouldn't mind if we did in Bear Lake again, we just need to know what the plan is for dates. Let me know so that I can talk to the rest of the family. We are definitely in and can't wait to see everyone again. Oh, and just because I am posting, here are some pictures of Henry. He is 6 1/2 months old and is still the greatest baby ever. No offense to any other babies out there!

Family Reunion?
I was just wondering if we are still planning on having a family reunion this year. I really hope we are because I would really like to attend this year. Somebody please let me know.

Proud Mom moment here: Cade was handpicked by his Commander or Commandante, or Sergeant, or General, or whatever to go to Airborne school this summer. This is not to be confused with a place where they train you how to not catch a cold by dropping a vitamin-laced alka-seltzer type substance into a glass of water and drinking it. It's where they train you to jump out of airplanes with a parachute. Way to go Cade!!!

Baby Blessing
I just wanted to let everybody know that we will be having Jason's blessing on Sunday, March 1st at 9:00 am at our ward here in Cedar City. I don't know if we will be able to feed people after because we are poor and our apartment is small. But, we would love to have anyone there that can be there. Let me know if you can come. We hope to see you there.

1 Week
So, as everybody already knows, Jason was born a week ago. It has been a long, tough, but also rewarding week. We finally got him home on Wednesday. He was in the hospital for a few extra days because he had an infection and was having breathing problems due to the large amounts of meconium (baby poop) in his lungs. He is now home and doing really well. We are so happy and blessed to have the little guy in our lives. Here are some more recent pictures of Jason. In the pictures you will notice his sad little, red cheeks. Those sores are from the wonderful oxygen tubing stickers they had on his face. He just kept pulling the tubes out of his nose.

Madison & Creedance
I thought it was time that some cute pictures of Madison & Creedance got posted. Here's one of Madison being pulled on the sled behind GrandBob's fourwheeler. I can't believe the awesome, almost five year old girl she's become. Her face in the picture really gives away her personality and she says the funniest things, especially about GrandBob smelling old! The picture of Creedance is of him sitting on top of his Christmas present. He had more fun sitting on top of the box then actually playing with the motorized fourwheeler that was inside. Please note the chocolate on his face, that's because Uncle Gabe gave him chocolate cookies for breakfast. Jessicca wasn't very please about the chocolate cookies, but isn't that the point of Uncle's? I hope that my aunties and uncles gave me cookies for breakfast!

Henry
Hi Everyone!
As I start to try and get into photography, I thought I would enter a contest or two. Since I don't have my own blog, I am going to post a photo here. Hope you all don't mind. I am considering starting a blog, though. Sorry to use the family forum! But hey, you all get to see a cute new picture of Henry!

We are so glad we have such an awesome family. Also, for those of you who are wondering, the baby will be named Jason 'Uncle Bob' Shaun Jones.
